Revlon Honey Douce - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Review & Swatches

I am so very late on the fat-lip-products-love bandwagon. For a long time I kept avoiding them convincing myself that I do not buy a product merely for the packaging. But turns out I could only convince myself for so long! I wanted the Clinique chubby stick, but settled for the Revlon merely due to the price, but now I know it is just a matter of time before I pick up a chubby stick intense!

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild - Review & Photos

I received a deluxe sample of the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild meant for dry-combination skin with a recent Clinique haul (Other products I hauled can be found by clicking here). I have been using this for about 2 weeks now and think I  have made up my mind one way or another about this product. This has been a very old favourite of mine, years ago when I was a major fan of the Clinique 3-step skin care system. Now I feel a little disconnect with this liquid soap.

MAC blush Fleur Power - Review & Swatches

Fleur power was my second blush purchase ever in MAC (My first MAC blush was this and my all time favourite MAC blush is this). I asked the SA at MAC to give me something in the pink family and she gave me Fleur power. At that time I was in a Pink loving phase, I wore Sweetie lipstick on a daily basis and finished it all up in a few weeks! But that's a different story. I really liked how fleur power looked on me in the store and immediately bought it, but I should say it is one of my least used blushers. Read on to find out why.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Mink - Review & Photos

Work-appropriate mauve-pink lipstick with a cream finish. That is exactly what my favourite lipstick would look like. I am perennially on the hunt for such colours. I end up with similar shades even when I try bringing home a red lipstick or something different for once! I think pinky mauve-y shades give medium-dusky skin tones the MLBB look we are all after.

MAC blush Springsheen - Review, Swatches & Photos

MAC Springsheen has been in my collection for 2 years now. And it has been used less than 5 times in those 2 years! That is until I find a new way of applying it. Since then, in the last month or so I have been reaching for it every single day. Read on to know more about how I made it work for me.

Work OOTDs - Formal and Friday Casual

** Blurry Photos Alert**

Though the photos are really crap, I am adamant about putting them up! This is a small OOTD post featuring two outfits I recently wore to work, one on a Friday and the other on some other day of the week. I mostly dress casually on Fridays, which for us is Jeans and some semi-formal top. Working in an investment bank means pencil skirts and formal shirts or tops on most days. But I do break those rules a LOT!

Lakme Absolute Matte Lipstick Cocoa Pink - Review, Swatches & Photos

Cocoa Pink is from the Lakme Absolute Matte lipstick line and is my perfect office going lipstick shade. It is a matte lipstick with no shimmer or glossiness and leaves your lips with that classic Indian aunty lips! LOL fret not, I have found a way to make it work, read to know more.

Here is a little story on how I chose this shade -

Revlon Lipstick Smokey Rose - Dupe of MAC Midi-Mauve?

Smokey Rose is my favourite shade of lipstick from the Revlon super lustrous line. It comes in a pearl finish which is obvious from the picture below. I am not a massive fan of frost in my lipsticks as they tend to wash me out, but this is nowhere close to being frosty. The pearlescence tends to give lips a glossy finish, similar to MAC lustre which is my fav mac lipstick finish. Read on to see if it mimics my favourite MAC lipstick of all times!

Clinique DDMG - Review, Swatches, Photos & Comparison with Simple moisturiser

Clinique DDMG is a moisturiser meant for skin that is either oily all over or oily just along the T-Zone, which is exactly my type of skin. I used to be a big fan of this moisturiser years ago but since then have branched out to other less effective moisturisers, because lets face it I am frivolous when it comes to skincare. I want to try everything that ever gets introduced in the market! I picked this up recently as part of a small clinique haul which you can read about here. And I can totally see why I loved it as much.

Zara Haul - Baby edition!

This is a haul post showing some clothing I picked up from Zara in the sales for my one year old baby daughter :) You can see what I bought for myself here. Zara usually has an amazing collection of baby clothes, but they are so expensive. Most of the stuff costs as much as adult clothes and spending that much on something that uses 1/4th the material seems stupid to me. But they are marked down a lot during the sales. All the t-shirts below were £2.99 each (Rs 270) and the floral jeans and white bloomers were a bit more, around Rs 500. How cute are those floral jeans!!!

I love all of the pieces, but if I had to pick my favourites it would be the floral jeans, white cotton shirt and the bloomers. Oh yeah the navy dress too, it is just so soft! Zara baby clothing runs a bit big, 9-12M size fits my 12M old perfectly. Let me know if you like the pieces as much as I do :)

MAC 134 Large Powder Brush - Review & Photos

MAC 134 is a large powder brush that totally put an end to my search for a good powder brush. This is the only powder brush I currently own, I started with the one from ELF but I threw it out as soon I bought the 134. It comes with a fat, short handle and natural bristles which are packed very very dense. I am definitely not a brush hoarder, I find one that I really like, one that works best for me and I stop looking for more. I have owned this for 3 years now and I have literally used it every single day of those 3 years! Read on for my thoughts on MAC brushes in general and specific thoughts on 134.

MAC 116 blush brush - Review & Photos

The MAC 116 brush is my first blush brush and the only blush brush I have. I have not found the need to buy a different one because this one is absolutely perfect! You could ask how I know it is perfect if I have not tried any other. I would argue by saying that I have not found a single issue with it so far, so have not had the need to look further. I love how it precisely applies product and how it picks up just enough to not give me clown cheeks. And there is zero product being wasted in the air. It is always best to build up blush rather than end up with too much at one shot and having to wipe it off later. Read on to see how it performs and how it has stood the test of time!

My Holy Grail Lip Treatment - Barriederm Lip Balm Reviews & Photos

You can read about my other HG skin care items here, here and here.

**CRAZY long intro alert** I have a very very bad habit of biting my lips and peeling the skin off of it, to the point where at times I would even have painful cuts and blood stains on my lips. Yes very dracula-esque! This habit was at its worst possible stage during my school days and in college during exams! I used to do it without even realising I was doing it. Guess those were very stressful times and this helped calm me down or something?! Anywho this nasty behaviour left my lips not only bruised and ugly looking but also completely drained of any pinkness in them. They used to look almost white and plain nasty. The first thing anyone noticed in my face was my lips, not in a good way of course. I wanted to change that and I started working on not biting the heck out of them. Slowly I grew out of that habit, I still do it but only when I am extremely stressed which is not that often at all (touchwood!).

My lips started getting some life back once I

My favourite shoes from my shoe closet

This is a sneak peek into soem of my favourite shoes and those that I wear ALL the time. Apart from the ones shown here I have a gazillion other pairs which are either burried away in the shoe cupboard or tied up in plastic bags and long forgotten! No matter how  many pairs I hoard I always go back to these once the novelty of the new pair wears off!

Black/Golden velvet ballerina shoes

I absolutely adore these ballerinas. They go with absolutely everything, because they are black and golden. They look really classy too with the bow and the golden J in front. I bought these in Jones and they cost somewhere in the Rs 2000 range. They hurt my feet like crazy the first few times, but they are now broken in and are very comfortable and stylish at the same time.

My Holygrail Face Wash - Derclean for oily skin

You can read about my other HG skin care items here, here and here.

This blog has made me realise I spend more money on skin care than colour cosmetics! I have been reviewing more skin care than makeup! But they say if the skin is not good, it wont do justice to any makeup at all!

This is the second post in the "My Holy Grail..." series, which I am coining while typing this sentence :P Since I have already written about my holy grail makeup remover here, I thought I will review all of my HG products under the same tag. All of these products are truly ones I have been using for years that do exactly what they are meant to do. Most of these are pharmacy grade products that you will not find in department stores in malls.

For reference I had extremely oily skin until about 2 years ago,

My Holy Grail Spot Treatment - FaceClin Gel Review, Photos & Swatches

You can read about my other HG skincare items here, here and here.

I am 27 years old and I am reviewing a spot treatment gel that I use regularly! Story of my life! For the most part of my teenage years and early 20s I have been dealing with crazy oily skin. But offlate I think the oiliness is getting controlled which I would like to think is due to the products I have access to as a grown up but truly it is also due to ageing I guess. Apparently with age the skin also changes texture and my skin is now in the combination-oily category.

NOTDs featuring OPI and Clinique

This is a quick post showing some NOTDs during the past week or so.

Clinique Haul and Gift-With-Purchase

First of all TGIF!!! I have been eagerly waiting for the weekend to finally come round. looking forward to spend some quality time with my hubby and the little one :D I visited my nearest Clinique stand yesterday since Clinique is currently running a bonus time. They do it at regular intervals where if you buy two or more clinique products, one of which should be skin-care you will get a goody bag free. It worked out really great for me because I have been wanting to buy their Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel(an old favourite of mine) along with their Super balanced foundation. I was sold on the foundation after seeing Rashmi from Indyabeauty use it a lot in her FOTDs.

MAC Studio Fix Powder foundation - Review & Photos

It is a coincidence that I have hit pan on all of the MAC products I have reviewed here so far. It shows that I really love them all and use quite regularly. This foundation is no exception. I am on my second pot of this and have hit pan on it. I use this EVERY SINGLE DAY. For reference I am an NC42 with combination-oily skin, oily for the most part. So I prefer powder foundations over liquids because they tend to fare well on oily skin and I really dont like very heavy coverage. For this reason liquid products really really scare me.

OOTDs from a recent trip

This is a collective OOTD post featuring items from my recent Zara haul. All these pictures were taken on a recent trip to Scotland. Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries I have visited so far. It has on offer some amaing scenery and loads of unspoilt countryside. This is my second visit to this beautiful beautiful country and it definitely did not disappoint. I would love to live in Edinburgh some day :D

Daughter n I soaking in the views!
Outfit One:
This is me grinning happily because this is my first time seeing Edinburgh in such lovely weather. This street is called "Royal Mile" and is part of the oil city. Just strolling along those cobblestone streets with dimly lit narrow side alleys and old stone buildings gives me unparalleled happiness.
